One Saturday night, my out of town guests requested Thai food. With the Amarin only a few blocks from my home, we walked to the obvious choice. It was the night of Second Saturday Art walk, hence, the restaurant was full. We didn't have enough time to wait, so we decided to look for another restaurant. It suddenly hit me that there was another new Thai restaurant just a few blocks down the street... The Gaesorn.
We entered the Gaesorn to the sound of live Piano music. Some piano selections of songs were less desirable than others (think Whitney Houston), but a live piano player is always preferrable. The presentation and quality of the food was superb. The service was prompt and professional. Currently, You can usually get a table at this place without much difficulty, but the dining room is somewhat small. (maybe a dozen tables) As the Gaesorn becomes more well known it could become difficult to get a table.
If you want good quality Thai food at a reasonable price, the Amarin will suit you fine. If you want more of a dining experience, then head to the Gaesorn!
