Additional comments:
The Beach Hut Deli opened up in the former location of the True Love Coffee House...but that is where the similarities end. The Beach Hut Deli completely remodeled the interior to make you feel as though you are merely steps from the ocean. Surfboards not only serve as menu boards, but also as tables in the booths. Surf videos are displayed on flat screens throughout the place, along with photographs of surfers on the wall. The place has an incredible number of sandwich combinations. Avocado, alfalfa sprouts, and cream cheese can be found on many of the sandwiches at the Beach Hut Deli. They also have traditional sandwiches, if that is more your thing. No matter what size you order, expect to get more than you can eat! These sandwiches are monstrous. The only limitation of the Beach Hut Deli is that they serve pretty much only sandwiches... salads are strangely absent considering they have all the ingredients to make them. Nachos, potato salad, chips and pasta salad are all optional sides. The sandwiches are delivered in an inverted Beach Hut Frisbee, which I thought was a nice touch, even though I was jokingly scolded for throwing the frisbee in the restaurant. (You can keep the frisbee for an extra buck) The Haole Pizza sandwich is a delicious hot sandwich. (Seen in the picture above) The Beach Hut Deli is very casual, and is a great place for lunch. There are as many as 14 locations throughout California, but mostly located within 50 miles of Sacramento. I believe this up and coming franchise started in Folsom. Forget about Subway and Togo's next time you're hungry for a sandwich, hit the beach instead... the Beach Hut Deli!
